About the project
Pottery Barn has an inspirational area in the main web site called "Style House", and they need to improve the experience to add more inspiration, advice, guiding and social value (conversations, interactions, sharing) within the Style House section.
One important objective for the digital solution was to help users discover their own unique style, and deliver contents relevant to that definition.
We had a tight deadline to analyze, suggest and document our proposed solution. During the process additional ideas for new tools and buying experience integration were thought, but due to the challenge specifications most of the additional functionalities and tools were not defined and included.
Fortunately Pottery Barn likes our proposal and we received the opportunity to work with them to redefine the area.
Our process started trying to understand the needs of the users and the flow they follow to make decisions, then worked on a list of possible functionalities that were organized and prioritize by user and section, then we selected the ones that would be included in the proposal, we worked on sketches and finally we worked on specific comps.
